The 2007 Bloggies: A finalist! 
Last night we found out that the Cooking Diva is again, one of the five finalists for the "Best Latin American Weblog" category of the 2007 Bloggies Awards.
Do you remember last March, while I was traveling through the Ecuadorean Andes, and the 2006 Bloggies winners were announced? I had no clue of what was going on because the Internet service was somehow "lethargic and slow" along the little towns we visited. Then, my mailbox ended packed in a few hours with e-mails from friends and readers, telling me about the news: We had won the "Best Latin American Weblog" category. Wow!
...AND, I say "We" because we all made that possible. Our readers and friends are the inspiration for what I write, and the never ending motivation to share our adventures through Latin America and other parts of the world. So, I say thank you one more time for making the Cooking Diva a finalist of the 2007 Bloggies!
Man's stomach has always been near his heart, and food and drink have occasioned a great deal of verbal as well as physical bliss. Let's share our love; we invite you to cast your vote for the blogs you devour everyday, or when you are bored, or looking for ideas to cook up a storm. There are thirty categories, including Best Latin American Weblog where Cooking Diva is a nominee.

Acabo de venir a tu blog por los bloggies, y me parece bastante interesante un blog sobre cocina mundial escrito por una mujer panamaña en inglés. ¿Porqué decidiste publicar tu blog por la mayoría en inglés? ¿Para expandir la audencia? No he tenido la oportunidad a recorrer las orillas y las selvas de Panamá, estoy al punto de planear unas vacaciones a Panamá o a Costa Rica el año que viene, ya no sé cual. Quizá de todas maneras tengo que visitar los restaurantes de Panamá.

Hola Hunter, gracias por visitarnos! Si, de eso se trata, de expandir nuestra audiencia. Cuando empecé este blog (hace casi 4 años), escribía solo en Español. Luego empezaron a visitarme muchos latinos que viven en los EU y en Europa, pidiendome recetas en Inglés, por lo que me lancé sin pensarlo a ese mundo. La experiencia ha sido fabulosa.
Eventualmente escribo en Español aquí en Cookingdiva, pero tengo un blog de cocina en el que escribo puramente en Español http://paladaresunidos.com
De igual manera tengo http://diablo-rojo.net , un blog bilingue en el que escribo sobre la vida en Panamá y como los panameños vemos la vida.
Definitivamente tienes que venir a Panama, de seguro que la pasarás super!
